Ah, The Night Shift
It is currently about 4:30 AM and I'm a little over half-way through my shift in the computer lab. I've been marathon watching episodes of Good Eats, my favorite Food Network show. Alton Brown is my hero. I'm really not in a mind set at the moment for any more real thoughts, just a little bored and thought I'd give a little update to provide me with a little entertainment.
Campus still doesn't quite feel like home to me and I'm still pretty homesick for Austin; However, I've made a few new friends and run into a few old ones, so it's coming along. Class is going very well...it's still very easy and I'm keeping up on homework with no problems, though I'm only in week two and haven't had a test yet.
This weekend is that of my birthday (on Monday) and so I've got a few fun plans. Friday (well, tonight I guess) I'll be headed to Newport to visit with Brandon and play in the pep band for the homecoming game at the high school. It might seem dorky, but I'm kinda excited! Saturday will be spending a little time with my parents and they've offered to take me out for brunch/lunch/something. I'm hoping the music store in Lincoln City is open (it likely won't be :P) so I can perhaps get a guitar. I'm also hoping to buy my ticket to VA for winter break. Then, Sat night I'll head to Salem to visit with Devin and goof off there. Sunday will be catching up with the little bit of homework I've got left, then Monday will be celebrated with...umm...class.
If you aren't too busy, give me a call and wish me a happy birthday! I'd prefer a 15 second phone call to a facebook message any day. ;)
